Venue: Mahila Samiti English School, Thakurli (E), Thane Dist.
Both Mr. V. Mahalingam, who chaired the function, as well as Mr. R. Krishnamurthy, who was the Chief Guest, delivered short speeches.
DTMS awarded prizes to the toppers of 10th & 12th standard students. Mr. Ramnath Krishnamurthy who scored 95.8% and came first was honoured by Mrs. Ramya Venkatesh. Ms. Abhinaya Nagarajan was the second topper and was honoured. Mr. Chittoor Krishnan, Mr. Aravind, Ms. Petchi Priya, Ms. Sneka Venkatraman and Ms. Priti Sriniwas were honoured for scoring high marks in Tamil subject in 10th standard. Afterwards Ms. Aparna who scored 80% in 12th standard was honoured. Mr. Edwin presented school uniforms to the needy students. Books were also distributed to some of the students.
Mr. Muthukumar Venkatnathan who cleared his CA final year on the first attempt itself was also honoured in the function.
Tamil learning class teachers Mrs. Sudha Sampath, Mrs. Kanimozhi, Mrs. Uma Sunder and Mrs. Sivakami were honoured at the function.
The cultural programmes followed immediately thereafter.

Dance – Twinkle Twinkle: Participants were Agasthya Sathyaraj, Insal, Karan Kumar, Vishnumurthy, Stalin, Sriram Ramesh, Amutham, Akilan, Lingesh Santhanakumar, Sowmiya Muthu Sankar, Purna, Nithi Venkatesh, Aathavan and Akshaya Raja
Dance – Thaipiranthal Vazhipirakkum: Participants were Parvathy Pandian, Akila Venkatesh, Ponnammal Thirunavukkarasu, Uma Gandhi, Kalaiselvi Venkatesh, Palaniselvi, Uma Sunder, Meena, Sutha Sampath, Kanimozhi Ramkumar and Bhuwaneshwari
Dance – Bench Nadanam: Participants were Shakthi Bhavani Murthi, Keerthana Sriram, Pranati Parthasarathi, Priya Silvaster Domnic, Akshay Raja, Krithika Subramanian, Anushka Sathyaraj, Gomathi Laksman, Hariharan Ramesh and Madhumitha
Dance – Nadu Summa Kidanthalum Kidakkum: Participants were Jinesh Ravi, Harshal Subramanian, Pooja Anand Raj and Gowri
Villu Pattu: Participants were Akshaya Parthasarathy, Aarthi Kannan, Archana Kannan, Divya Manikandan, Gayathri Thiyagarajan, Sai Saranya, Gururaj and Harikanth Gopalakrishnan
Dance – Mayilattam: Participants were Hemapriya Yesudas, Vaishnavi Swaminathan, Aishwarya Kumar, Swathi Venkatesan, Priyanka Raju Dinadayalan, Subhalaxmi Ayyappan, Rohini Venkatesh, Nithya Kodishwaran, Janvi Ravindhara and Meenalaxmi Subramanian
Comedy Track – Customer Care: Participants were Arun Arumugam and Irudayamani
Dance – Singham: Participants were Surya Harikrishnan, Akshaya Raja, Sai Srinivas, Raghu, Jaylingan, Vignesh Gunasekaran, Vignesh Venkatesh and Gogul Rameshbabhu
Kovilpatti Karakattam: Edward & Group
Dance – Unnai Kanatha Kan: Shilpa Kannan, Revathy Harikrishnan, Shefali Barguru, Subha Balasubramania and Rama
Drama – Kulanthaikal Kappakam: Magesh, Uma Sunder and Meena
Paley Pandiya: Rathinavel Pandian, Gururaj, Parikanth Gopalakrishnan
Dance – Deem Deem: Shilpa Kannan, Revathy Harikrishnan, Shefali Barguru, Subha Subramanian and Rama

Mrs. Puvana Venkat did the compeering job for the function. The celebrations lasted for about three hours and as always a feast was arranged for all our members. Mr. Raja gave the thanks giving speech and the celebrations concluded with that.
